The second steering committee meeting for the Water Knowledge Project was held at the CIHEAM Bari Institute in Italy, with the presence of the Egyptian delegation: - Engineer Walid Haqiqi, Head of the Planning Sector at the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation - Professor Salwa Mohamed Abu El-Ala, Head of the Regional Training Center for Water Resources and Irrigation - Engineer Ahmed Farouk Rateb Hussein, Head of the Central Administration for Minister’s Office Affairs - Engineer Areej Rifaat, National Coordinator From the Italian side: - Dr. Martino Meli, Director of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) Office in Cairo - Dr. Biagio Di Terlizzi, Deputy Director of CIHEAM Bari - Dr. Rola Khadra, CIHEAM Bari Coordinator - Sergio Galietta and Roberto Ronco from Hydroaid - Cosimo Tendi, Project Coordinator 🎯 The meeting discussed a comprehensive evaluation of the activities implemented and the results achieved, highlighting the mutual cooperation between both sides to enhance water-related knowledge and sustainable practices. It is worth mentioning that the Water Knowledge Program comes within the framework of an initiative by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, which falls under the Egyptian National Strategy 2030 for Sustainable Development. It aims to contribute to promoting sustainable management and a shared vision of water resources in Egypt.
