At the main headquarters of the Regional Training Center in the city of Sixth of October, the activities of the training program (Water Resources and Irrigation Law No. 147 and its Executive Regulations) started today, Sunday, May 19, 2024. The program targets engineers and will continue over five days until Thursday, May 23, covering several topics: * Water resources, public properties, and related private works. * Rights to use water sources and methods of irrigation and drainage. * Water distribution (management, organization, and distribution of water - water intakes and drainage outlets - water user associations). * Development and improvement of irrigation and drainage systems - irrigation and drainage of new lands - protection of the Nile River stream - groundwater and well permits. * Protection of water resources and facilities and shores (management and protection of marine shores - protection from rain and flood hazards) - penalties. * Explanation and discussion of the executive regulations.
