As part of the ongoing series of training courses provided by the Regional Training Center for Water Resources and Irrigation, aimed at utilizing the water hyacinth plant, creating job opportunities for women, and developing their skills in handicrafts as a means of transforming their lives and the lives of their families—thus contributing to reducing future environmental and economic burdens and preserving water resources—the training course on "Utilizing the Water Hyacinth Plant" was inaugurated today at the Damanhour branch of the Regional Training Center. The course was attended by the Secretary of the Mahmoudia Engineering Associations and was conducted in collaboration with the General Directorate of Water Guidance in West Delta. This course runs from August 11th to 15th, 2024, targeting a number of women from the Mahmoudia Water Users' Associations. It includes methods for transforming water hyacinth into products and handicrafts that can be used in small projects to increase household income and create job opportunities.
