As part of the scientific visits conducted by the trainees within the activities of the training program "Use of Efficient Small Irrigation Systems for Climate Adaptation in Africa," a visit was made to the Forecasting Center and the Information Center at the Planning Sector, where they attended a lecture on the Water Accounting System and its applications using GIS. It is worth noting that this program was implemented under the umbrella of the Pan African Center for Water and Climate Adaptation (PACWA) in collaboration with the Arab League/Arab Fund for Technical Assistance to African Countries (AFTAAC) and the African Union/Semi-arid Food Grain Research and Development (AU SAFGRAD). The program included 15 trainees from African Union countries (Cameroon, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Tunisia, Uganda, Zimbabwe, and Egypt) and took place from August 4th to 13th, 2024.
