Continuing the series of training courses offered by the Regional Training Center for Water Resources and Irrigation to utilize the water hyacinth plant, create job opportunities for women, and develop their skills in handicrafts as a means to bring about change in their lives and the lives of their families—thereby contributing to reducing future environmental and economic burdens and preserving water resources—the training course titled "Utilizing the Water Hyacinth Plant" (Level One) was inaugurated today at the General Directorate of Training in Esna. This course runs from August 18th to 22nd, 2024, and targets a number of women from the local community. It includes methods for transforming water hyacinth into products and handicrafts that can be utilized in small projects to increase household income and create job opportunities.
